The grand dame of all elephant rescues, the organization’s founder Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick began this vital nonprofit in 1977. Today, the Orphans’ Project, Anti-Poaching Unit, Community Outreach and Mobile Veterinary Units are guided by Angela Sheldrick, who worked alongside her mother for over twenty years.

Wildlife SOS
Wildlife SOS rescues, protects and cares for elephants, sloth and moon bears, leopards, reptiles, and a variety of other wildlife in their Indian facilities. The group works with government agencies to rescue abused elephants and provide them a home and medical care.
